Want Ribbon?

Of course you do!

In May, our Design Team will be sponsored with ribbon by Savvy 'n Sassy.

SNS has created special ribbon kits to co-ordinate with Upsy Daisy's new paper lines, and you will be able to see the creations of our Design Team, using this ribbon, all month long on our blog, starting tomorrow.

Now for the fun part!
SNS has generously donated this huge ribbon stash for us to give away on the Upsy Daisy blog.
If you'd like a shot at winning this gorgeous ribbon, all you have to do is leave a little comment here telling us you've stopped by.

But...if you'd like to increase your chances at winning, please visit and leave a bit of love on our DT's creations throughout the month of May.
We will be updating this blog every 5 days during May, and you will get a chance to see what our team has done.

For every comment you leave, your name will go into the draw.
Please note that we'll count only one comment per person per blog entry.

So let's get started, and check back tomorrow for some luscious creations from Jill.

A Liitle Mondays Goodness!

Hello out there!!! It is time for some more lovely inspiration today!
I think that one of my all time favorite things to do right now is layer.
Whether it be a little or a lot you can always get fantastic results by
layering elements and paper. For this page I used Upsy Daisy's
Cupcake and Ice Cream Shoppe lines! I am such a girly girl and these
two lines are sure to wet your creative pallet with some delicious
creative juices!
Be sure to check back often for more creations and ideas from the
Daisy ladies!

Little Banner

So excited to share this little banner that is perfect
for adding magnets to the back to display on your fridge...
or I displayed mine on the metal door that leads to our garage ;)
I used the very beautiful Fluter paperline to create it!
Have a very amazing weekend :)

Hi Everyone! I wanted to post this layout of my sweet Marcus for a number of reasons. First of all the new Vroom paper line rocks and it is so much fun to work with! Secondly, I just love the way that the layout turned out in the end, I just wanted to keep looking at it. But most of all, I wanted to post this layout because it deals with a sensitive issue. I have learned that scrapbooking is not always about rainbows and butterflies but rather it is a venue to document and help work through things in my life that are not always sweet. My Marcus worries about everything (which is part of a diagnosed condition), I have wanted to journal about it for quite sometime but have not found the means. This layout enabled me to do so. At first glance it is fun and happy, only when you pull out the journaling tag do you read the whole story; thoughts of mine that I want Marcus to know. Also, I have sung that same Bob Marley song to him since he was in my tummy and so it was a meaningful way to scrapbook that musical bond between us.
The physical act of scrapbooking relaxes me, has brought me some beautiful friendships and is an outlet to my thoughts, feelings and inspirations. What a great hobby!
I hope that you enjoy the layout!
Misty

April 21st...a little Inspiration by Kimberly

Hello Upsy Daisy fans...Here is a LO I created using the Cupcake line, as well as Stamps from 'Make a Bloom' and 'Lovely Lines' sets. I also added ribbon's for just the right touch to complete this creation from 'Savvy n Sassy' as they sponsered us for the month of May to coordinate their ribbon's with our new designs...They match perfectly! Thank you Savvy n Sassy!

Where's spring?

Easter might be over but I'm definitely ready for spring! We had snow in Iowa overnight...yuck! I made this Easter card using the Ice Cream Shoppe line - it's one of my favorites! The Easter eggs were made with an oval template. I tend to cut a lot of design elements out of patterned paper while I'm creating, and Upsy Daisy Designs patterned papers are perfect for that (the scallops were cut out of the patterned paper). I also used Upsy Daisy stamps to create the flourishes and accented them with rhinestones. Finally, I finished off the card with a sentiment using Upsy Daisy rub-ons. They go on like butter!

Happy creating! :)

Almost There...

Hi everyone...
We apologise for keeping you waiting this long. This was such a difficult decision to make, and we once again want to thank every one of you for applying.

We have decided to pick four amazing artists to join our Design Team.
We are in the process of contacting them, and once all the "t"'s have been crossed and the "i"'s dotted, we'll announce them right here.

A few things we wanted to let you know...

1. Due to the sheer volume of amazing entries we have received, we have chosen three Guest Designers, who will be designing for us in the months of June, July and August.
These ladies will be contacted tonight as well.

2. If you are not one of the Designers contacted this evening, and would like to re-apply, please apply to Round 2 of the call.
We will only be looking at the Round 2 applications from this point, so if you applied to the first round and want to be re-considered you should re-apply.

If you have any questions please direct them to me at lacintha@upsydaisydesigns.com. I will try to answer them as fast as possible :)

So, please keep checking back. Once Amanda has contacted, and heard back from the four ladies, we will update the blog.

Thanks again and have a great evening.

Wow!!!

The first round of our DT call has just ended and boy,you guys just blew us away!

With well over 70 submissions, Amanda and I have been floored by the immense talent presented to us.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you for putting yourself and your work out there, and for taking the time to share your creations with us.

As cliche'd as it sounds, we really wish we could pick each and every one of you.
Your participation in this call has truly humbled us all here at Upsy Daisy.

We hope to have some news for you soon, so please keep checking back.

Just a reminder that Round 2 of the call has officially begun.
To answer a number of questions I received in this regard, we started Round 2 to accommodate those applicants who were waiting to receive their Upsy Daisy product from the site, or from the various retailers.
If you did apply for Round 1 and would still like to show us what you can do with Upsy Daisy product, please feel free to re-apply :)

Good luck to everyone.
