Hi everyone. It's been a while since I shared something here and since spring is into full swing, why not share a Spring themed card trio.
PULLED OUT FOR PUBLICATION
I used the See Ya later Alligator line here. The colors and fun design just screams Spring to me.
PULLED OUT FOR PUBLICATION
In this one I added this stamp and this letter rubon. oh and the flower too.
I did the kissing stamp technique here using a bunny stamp (from my stash) and adding this stamp to add the swirls.
Spring is all about the flowers so I made sure I get as much flowers in this card as I can. I cut them out with the Cricut machine. I also added some brads on the bigger flowers as centers. The card sentiment block was made with this stamp and this letter rubon.
So there you have it. Hope my card share brought some "spring" to your week.

Till next time,
Grace

New Grandparents
Upsy Daisy's new "Blossom" collection is perfect for baby and little girl photos. My mom and dad were so excited to become first-time grandparents and times two was an even greater blessing for them. I love this photo of them holding my twin daughters for the first time. One of things I love about the new collections is the paper strip on the bottom of all the patterned papers. I used two strips on this layout - the quote below my photo and the pleated paper strip at the top of my page. I kept my embellishments fairly simple and my resulting page is shabby, girly and soft.
Here's a close-up of the pleated paper strip...
And another close-up of my title....
Thanks for looking...

Monthly Sketch - April 2010
We hope that you all enjoyed our first monthly sketch in March and decide to play along with us again this month.
Without further ado, let me show you the sketch for April:
You can flip it, use it to create cards, projects or layouts in any size. For ease I create all sketches in a 12 x 12 format but that does not mean you have to scrap in 12 x 12. Just look at my example - I decided to go 6 x 12 this time, with my favourite of the new releases ALLIGATOR
UPSY DAISY DESIGNS products used:
Papers: #SYLA012. Alphabet Soup; #SYLA004. Expedition; #SYLA013. Everglades; #VO012. Chic
Rub Ons: #UDD124. Classy Brown - Alpha (8x8); #UDD0123. Basic Brown Alpha
Stamps: #UDD208. Chic Bebe
Now have a look at what DT member Julia created from the sketch - it is ingenious how she layered all the elements. Please take a look at JULIA'S BLOG for some more detailed shots, I will certainly have to try this technique myself! Julia used the wonderful papers from the VOGUE collection, by the way.
A perfect example to show that the older paperlines from Upsy Daisy Designs are still very hip and fashionable is this vibrant layout from DT Member JANIS. The CIRCLE OF FRIENDS line is one of my all time favourites - the colours and the designs make me happy :) - just between you and I = you can get these papers in the SALE right now for only $0.59!!!!
Another layout using the VOGUE line can be seen here from DT Member SANDI - how fabulous is the combination of the BRADS together with the die cut sentiments and flowers...scrummy!
Would you like to play along with us and create a layout based on the above sketch? Use your favourite UDD products and link us to your creation within the comments section of this post no later than 25 April 2010, so we can leave you some love...and give a shout out to our fave layout! It could be YOUR time to be in the spotlight as I will be choosing my personal favourite from all your submission to be featured here, on the Daisy Diaries!
