I hope everyone is having a great summer so far. I don't know about any of you, but I struggle a bit when it comes to cards for men/boys. I find the best thing for me is to keep it simple. I just layer a few pieces of paper (from the Tweet line) and some rick rack and I'm all set. I also used the Lissys ABCs stamps because I love this font. Have a great day, everyone!

Don't be afraid of white space!
Like most scrapbookers, sometimes I complete a page and I just love it. This is one of those pages. When I look over the pages that really appeal to me, they all utilize white space (empty space) effectively and use minimal product, but just the right touch of product. This simple strip of striped paper from the gorgeous Cupcake collection was the perfect addition to this layout - 2 simple circles punched from other papers in this collection, a subtle bit of embossing with one of the great stamps from the Make a Bloom stamp set and voila! The focus is on the photo and I have a layout I love! Do you embrace white space??

Your Day Daddies!
HI THERE everyone! I do hope and pray that everyones day is going
lovely! The time is almost upon us again go celebrate those AWESOME
men out there who are fathers. Whether it be by blood, adoption, or
step father you all are very special to us and we appreciate you. My heart
goes out extra for those fathers serving our country and have to spend
long periods of time away from their families. You are certainly great men
of valour!
In honor of Fathers Day I created this card for my hubby using the TWEET
line from Upsy Daisy! I know that many of you share the same fondness
for this line and that it is one of the faves! The greens, browns, and blues
together is one of the perfect combos to me. I also used Sweet Slumber Boy
rub-ons and Make-A-Bloom stamps which are also Upsy Daisy products!
I went wild! LOL!
Instead of doing the traditional open up card I decided to make a slot
in which I could slide a journaling tab into! That was tons of fun and
very easy to do just for a little switch up.

And the Winner is....
.....
Wait....
First off, a big thank you for everyone who took the time to visit, comment and share the love with our Designers. It meant a lot to us, and we are really appreciative.
So,I printed out your comments, trimmed them into individual segments and dropped them into my pancake mixing bowl (without the pancake mix...and because I couldn't find a hat :) )....
I closed my eyes...
...and drew out this:
Congrats Melissa...please e-mail your mailing deets to me at "lacintha@upsydaisydesigns.com", and I'll pop that scrummy ribbon off to you a.s.a.p!
