Good morning everyone.
Today I would like to show you a little project using an - uhm - more unconventional item to alter. Call me weird but every month when I look at my box of *wotsits* I keep thinking "surely I must be able to put this to future use".
I am bad because I simply cannot throw away any form of boxed packaging as I always think one day I will be able to use it.
So, how to you get from this
to this?
Easy, peasy lemon squeezy :)
I placed some double sided tape along all edges of the box and took a left-over piece of paper from the {Flutter} Series >> #UDD0146. Soar <<. I pretty much "rolled" the box along its length, which made it stick to the tape.
At the end of the lip, I cut along the edges and "neatened" any overhanging pieces of paper. Then I did the same process to the sides of the box. It actually sounds a more long-winded process than it it. Covering the box basic took me all but five minutes.
Now all I needed to do was add little bits and pieces all around the box. Using a Fiskars Border Punch, I created a ribbon like border using the >> #UDD0147. Take wing << paper. Cutting butterflies from the >> #UDD0145. Take to the air << paper and adhering them to the box with foam pads, adds some depth to the project.
{Rub Ons} >> #UDD192. Butterfly Wishes; #UDD189. Oh Happy Day << and Brads >> #EMB002. Bebe-Girl << give the project a lovey finish. Now it can be filled with whatever you see fit and no-one will ever now this used to be a box of "wotsits"
