Free and Organized!!!

Hello everyone. Today, I'm going to share three projects that I made using Enchanted and A Walk in the Park papers.

My 2010 Word: Free

This 2010, I decided that my operative word is FREE - - I figured I have to shake off those negative vibes and boundaries and just be trusting with His Grace. Here is what I came up with:

There were lots of not only handcutting but also rubbing-on actions here!!! Gotta love those butterflies from the Unwritten rub-on pack!!!

I topped my flower cut-outs with the Bebe Girl jewel brads. I loved that they instantly made my flowers regal looking.

I sooo loved how my layout turned out so I decided to make a card version of it.

Happy Birthday Card

I used the scraps of my layout in doing this one:

UDD Products Used: #ED012. Fantasy, #ED013. Magical, #ED014. Mystical, #ED015. Regal, #UDD210. My Guy clear stamp, #UDD188. Unwritten rub-on,#UDD189. Oh Happy Day, #EMB002. Bebe-Girl jewel brads.

Look closely, I just connected the half circle background. I was looking at the paper and thought, "Hey, they're of the same size, they should fit!". LOL.

So what's the difference between this card and the layout? Instead of using the My Guy clear stamp as a journaling spot, I used it as an additional layer on my card. The sentiment I used is from the Oh Happy Day rub-on pack, while the circle frame rub-on is from the Unwritten rub-on pack.

My Notebook Organizer

This month, we were challenged to create anything that will help us be better organized this 2010. I already knew right away what to create as I wanted to better manage my scrapping time: I created my own notebook organizer.

I used A Walk in the Park line here as I love the outdoor/earthy feel to it. The notebook organizer is simple to do, as I just used an old illustration board for the cover and a pack of 4"x4" colored paper (which costs a little over a USD1) for the fillers inside. The base/back cover of the notebook measures 8"x8", while the front cover uses two cut-outs: one measuring 5"x8" and the other one 3"x8". I basically just covered and embellished the covers using cut-outs from the A Walk in the Park papers, My Guy stamp, and Sweet Slumber Boy rub-ons.

This is how the inside looks like. It contains my monthly calendar (where I have listed all my deadlines for the particular month), sketches, ideas (those tips and techniques that I plan to incorporate in my future projects) , and notes (for the titling and journaling on my layouts). I didn't bother to use 3D elements in my inside covers as I wanted them flat for easier writing on the back pages. Again, I used cutouts from A Walk in the Park papers, My Guy stamp (can you tell that this is my most favorite UDD stamp? LOL) and Basic Brown Alpha rub-ons.

I hope these projects have inspired you to play with your Enchanted and A Walk in the Park papers. Have fun creating with them!
